Anyone who lives in Hawaii knows that anyplace that has good ice cream is a winner! For years that i've lived in hawaii, i've never known about this hidden place. I've heard about it from time to time but I figured it was just another ice cream place. When my cousin and I was around UH Manoa we were lucky enough to be close to where Bubbies was located. If i wouldve known how good their mochi ice cream is, I would've gone there sooner!
My REVIEW:
Bubbies is known for their mochi ice cream. A bite of rich homemade ice cream surrounded by sweet mochi-which is a traditional japanese dessert made of rice. These treats and bite sized, and they are the perfect snack.
The MENU:
The picture above is an example of just how much choices of ice cream you can have. Some of the choices consisted of:
-Guava
-Lychee
-Passionfruit
-and Green Tea, just to name a few :)
Bubbies, not only serves mochi ice cream, but they serve regular ice cream cakes. Though the names are a bit comical, like "Hair by Daniel" the cakes are is sweet and mouthwatering as the mochi ice cream.
ThePRICES:
The Mochi Ice Cream itself alone costs $1.50 each or you can purchase it in a 6 pack for $5.50 cents. Light on your wallet, and heavy on your stomach is the way to go! As for the cakes, all are priced differently depending on what type of cake it is due to the fresh ingredients that they use. Usually the cakes whose fruits are in season are a bit cheaper than those that are not.
Definitely try this place out! If you have a craving for sweets, this is the place to be!
